Partners for Developing Futures was launched as a social venture investment fund that invests in high-performing, minority-led charter schools and charter school networks that serve low income students of color. The organization was created to meet a distinct need in the charter sector by supporting minority entrepreneurs in developing and operating high-quality charter schools and networks.
Partners’ original efforts focused on efficiently identifying, recruiting, and supporting people of color in creating and growing high-quality charter schools and charter school networks. Partners was designed to promote minority leadership, particularly founders, Chief Executive Officers, Executive Directors, and board members, who control and operate high-quality charter schools and networks and who are committed to achieving educational excellence.
